A VACCINE FOR ALK+ LUNG CANCER

A potential cure for cancer?

How can this be and why isn’t everyone freaking out about this?

It’s so new and in clinical trials, see below…

Dr. Lam’s Vaccine at Johns Hopkins Medical Center

I am freaking out about this potential cure for this cancer. I am freaking out about a vaccine for ALK+. I am just freaking out in general that I have stage IV Lung cancer.

From my conversations with Dr. Lam of Johns Hopkins, his vaccine is a type of Peptide vaccine. While his vaccine is still new, and I understand I may need to stay on my TKI treatment indefinitely, if this works, it offers hope for so many, and I’m eager to understand it.

Once I know more, I’ll share it with you, along with a video.

I’ve also spoken with several of the first twelve people who’ve received the vaccine as part of the first wave of the clinical trial. It may take time and millions of dollars to make this vaccine widely available, but I know it can happen, I’m sure of it. Yes, I’m hopeful to be selected as a participant in a future trial, but there’s no timeline and it’s not as simple as being on the list—it’s a much more complex process.

I’ll keep you updated as I learn more.

This is exciting and gives me so much hope.

This video (also on the ALK+ page) shows Dr. Lam talking about ALK+. This is how I found him originally.
